Arbor Glen is the licensed assisted living community on the Arbor Trace campus. It is open to the public, and Arbor Trace residents have first priority when a place is available.
On the campus, in the clubhouse
Arbor Glen occupies the second level of the 36,000-square-foot Arbor Trace Clubhouse, at the center of the community. For Arbor Trace owners, that means care is a short walk from home if health changes unexpectedly.
Care is long-term or short-term, in private rooms and two-room suites. Residents are encouraged to furnish and decorate their own rooms; furnished rooms are available for respite and short stays.
A trained staff manages each resident’s care in coordination with the family and the resident’s own physicians. Friends and family are welcome every day; visiting hours are 9 AM to 9 PM.
Priority is standing, not a promise: Arbor Trace residents are considered first, and admission still depends on availability and an assessment by the Director of Nursing.
What our license allows
Arbor Glen holds Florida license #7793, which carries three levels of care. Each one permits a specific scope of services.
- Assisted Living Facility (ALF)
- The standard license. Staff may help with medication management and the activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, walking, toileting, and eating.
- Limited Nursing Service (LNS)
- Permits intermittent professional nursing, such as wound care, catheter care, and applying and monitoring TED hose (pressure stockings).
- Extended Congregate Care (ECC)
- Permits comprehensive services and total care with up to four activities of daily living, so that a resident can age in place rather than move when more help is needed.
In every room, every day
What is included for every Arbor Glen resident.

- Three dietitian-approved meals a day in the Garden Court Café
- Fiber-optic television, internet, and a landline phone
- An emergency response system
- Transportation to scheduled medical and dental appointments
- Professional nurses on duty around the clock
- On-site events and off-site excursions, planned by a full-time Life Enrichment Coordinator
- Wellness services: blood pressure monitoring, weight measurements, and health consultations

- A broader licensed scope of services, so a resident can remain in a residential setting as needs grow.

- LNS-licensed nurses provide blood pressure screenings, File of Life record-keeping, weight measurements, and more.
- Respite care
- A comfortable short stay after a hospitalization or an illness, in a furnished room.
- Coordinated outside services
- Staff coordinate with third-party providers for physical, occupational, speech, and massage therapy, expanded nursing services, personal shopping, and business services.
One monthly fee
There are no endowment fees, no unexpected expenses, and no lifetime obligations. Services and amenities are included in a single fee.

The monthly and daily rates are mostly all-inclusive. There is a monthly charge for personal laundry, and a list of outpatient nursing services with their charges is available on request.
Most long-term care insurance policies now cover assisted living, custodial care, extended congregate care, and hospice services, all of which are offered at Arbor Glen. A long-term care insurance specialist can speak to a specific policy.

A skilled nursing facility, the kind most people call a nursing home, is a different kind of place with a different license. Most people never need long-term care in one, though a short stay can be the right choice for intensive rehabilitation after a severe fracture or a stroke.
Arbor Glen is an assisted living facility. Its Limited Nursing Service and Extended Congregate Care licenses permit a wide range of nursing services that a standard assisted living facility may not provide under state regulations, with licensed RNs or LPNs on site 24 hours a day.
In practice, that means a resident who comes to need more help can often receive it at Arbor Glen, among the same neighbors and staff, rather than transferring to another facility.
